Stress Management
Overwork and stress can lead to poor efficiency in the work place as well as a loss of teamwork. In this session, attendees review how stress dictates personal choices in the work setting, identifying internal and external stress triggers, key skills for dealing with stress management, and methods for increasing productivity through overcoming workplace stress. 
Time Management
As a housing professional, time is one of the most valuable assets available in the workplace. During this session, attendees receive tips on how to become a better leader, manager, or facilitator with the use of time management principles, prioritizing, and crisis management.
Dealing with Adversity/Difficult Residents
Defusing stressful situations and working with people from diverse backgrounds are common practices in affordable housing. This session will explore the importance of handling diverse and challenging resident situations with mindfulness and consistency. Attendees will receive tools, tips, and basic skills to address the adverse and difficult conditions management and maintenance staff often face at the site level.
Quality Customer Service in Affordable Housing
Customer service is just as important in affordable housing as elsewhere. In this session, attendees will learn about the importance of quality customer service, revisit HUD’s customer service plan and principles as well as general best practices, review ways to handle customer complaints, provide tops for improving customer interactions, and encourage staff to remain grounded during moments of adversity.
