In this session
we will discuss the timing and processes of programmatic management review
s for LIHTC properties. We will discuss what the agencies are most likely t
o review, as well as the items you must have prepared to ensure a quick and
painless management review. We will cover best practices and file organiza
tion to make certain that you have a great LIHTC management review experien
ce. We will then move on to the pertinent file documents, and how-to self-a
udit for mistakes or miscalculations. We will review typical resident file
errors and offer tips and recommendations on how to correct non-compliance
if it is discovered during your self-audit.

Heather brings k
nowledge from both the property management and regulatory sides of affordab
le housing industry. She is a 25‐year property management veteran; in addit
ion, she
has served as the previous manager for both the
PBCA Section 8 Contract Administration and LIHTC Program Compliance departm
ents within the Colorado Housing and Finance Authority (CHFA). Prior to tha
t, she was a Project Manager with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development. Heather is an expert in Fair Housing and affordable housing pr
ogram compliance rules and regulations, allowing her to serve as an expert
witness for a high profile Federal Fair Housing property management case. H
eather has first‐hand insight into the latest affordable housing compliance
trends all due to her on‐site consulting work with multiple affordable hou
sing programs, in addition to her company reviewing over over 800 resident
files on a monthly basis,. Her ability to comprehend the complex rules and
regulations of the affordable housing industry, allows her to assist her cl
ients across the country to stay compliant with not only state monitoring a
nd government agencies, but also with Fair Housing laws. Heather is also a
